Standing Seam Metal
Valleys are extremely vulnerable to leaks because of the speed and high volume of water that they must channel. This is especially true in situations where two roof angles have different pitches and in the case of a “dead valley” where the angle of slope flattens out or has to change directions. Valleys require special care to ensure their watertight integrity. Valley systems combined with thick exotic ridge rows define and outline the roof, adding to the aesthetic value of the roof line. Proper detail and attention to the functionality and attractiveness of these areas increase your home’s resale value.
Open “W” Metal Valley Systems
We particularly recommend open “W” metal valleys that prevent water from washing over and underneath the opposite side of the valley. They wash themselves clean and are less likely than closed valleys to collect leaf and tree debris. Open “W” valleys are made with 30-inch galvalume metal. Their pre-baked enamel finish will not chip, crack or rust like galvanized valleys and the “W” shape expands and contracts on bends which prevents cracks.
